The SLPB Series Plastic Limit Switches are a comprehensive range of industrial electromechanical position detection switches housed in durable, impact-resistant plastic enclosures, available across eight actuator variants to cover the full range of industrial position sensing applications. Each variant in the SLPB series shares the same robust plastic housing and IEC 60947-5-1 compliant contact block architecture, with the actuator head differentiated to suit specific cam geometry, approach direction, and mechanical engagement requirements — from standard roller lever and whisker actuators to push plunger, fork lever, and rotary head configurations.

Plastic housing limit switches are the preferred specification for general industrial position detection applications where the operating environment does not expose the switch to heavy mechanical impact, aggressive chemical attack, or extreme temperatures that would demand a metal housing. The high-impact thermoplastic enclosure of the SLPB series provides excellent resistance to the typical industrial environment — oils, greases, dust, coolant splash, and mechanical contact from cams and machine elements — while offering the cost advantages and corrosion immunity of non-metallic construction in applications where long-term exposure to moisture or mild chemicals would cause metal housings to deteriorate.

The SLPB series actuator variants cover the standard approach geometries of industrial limit switch applications. The A1 and A3 variants feature roller lever actuators for cam-operated position sensing where the actuator must engage a cam or dog approaching from a defined direction. The F5 and F7 variants provide adjustable roller lever configurations that accommodate a wider range of cam heights and approach speeds. The B2 and B4 variants offer fork roller actuators for position sensing of rods and shafts. The LP variant provides a long roller lever for applications requiring the actuator to span a greater cam reach distance. The EE variant offers a coil spring actuator for gentle, continuous contact applications, and the D variant provides a direct push plunger configuration for applications where the target directly depresses the switch actuator.
